Montgomery Man Convicted for DUI

A 40 year old Montgomery man was committed to the Lycoming county prison for a minimum of 4 with a felony count of aggravated assault charges stemming from a DUI. Back in 2017 Christopher W. Crammer drunkenly crashed into the buggy injuring the 6 occupants inside of it, 4 of which were children. According to media outlets all required a life flight or ambulance as the damage was very serious. He pleaded guilty in May, after a mistrial was declared, which is why his case was so drawn out.

Jersey Shore Area School District Sporting Events Guidelines

The jersey shore area school is one of many welcoming back extracurricular activities and has some modified guidelines in regards to football in particular. The school board met virtually and decided that home football games would allow spectators and the teams to attend for both sides, but that the band and cheerleaders would only be allowed for the home team, and that no money would be handled at events. All decisions were made with governor wolfs guidelines, which limits outdoor events to 250, at heart.

Attempted Homicide Charges Refiled

Pennsylvania State Police in Milton have refiled charges against roger Neal Arnold, 71, of new Columbia, with attempted criminal homicide. The incident happened in 2014 when he stabbed a nurse several times when she tried administering medication. When she got away he tried attempting suicide before the police arrived and took him into custody. Media outlets say that the case was previously dismissed because he was deemed incompetent to stand trial, but is being brought up again as he is now deemed competent and has a preliminary hearing set for the 22nd of this month.

Beaverton Man Arrested

A Beaverton man was arrested for 2 incidents that occurred in Selinsgrove. According to northcentralpa.com, Randell Boyer, 27, allegedly punched an 11 year old to the ground and then threw a water bottle at his head. When state troopers investigated the incident they found many items of drug paraphernalia throughout his residence before placing him under arrest. Court documents have yet to show a plea deal being entered for his any of the cases against him.

Lock Haven Shoe Bank Reopening

Appointments are being taken for the Lock Haven Area Shoe bank which will be open again on Saturday, September 19th.  COVID-19 protocols will be in place, with masks required, only two families able to be in the building at a time and no bathroom or water fountain access.  The Shoe Bank provides free shoes and socks to eligible children up to age 17.  Kids and teens who live in Clinton County or go to the Liberty-Curtin Elementary School attendance area a CHIP or similar insurance card are eligible, or are referred by an agency or organization. The Minnesota Vikings have signed Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook to a multiyear deal, the team announced Saturday. It’s a five-year contract extension worth $63 million, which includes a $15.5 million signing bonus with $28.2 million of those dollars being guaranteed. Cook is now the fifth-highest-paid running back in the NFL.

Minnesota Twins reliever Sergio Romo was suspended for one game by Major League Baseball on Saturday for antagonizing Cleveland Indians star Francisco Lindor.

NASCAR

William Byron, fresh off his first career Cup Series victory, now has a contract extension through 2022 at Hendrick Motorsports.The extension was finalized in early August and announced Tuesday, just days after Byron’s win at Daytona International Speedway earned him a berth in NASCAR’s playoffs.
