All About Jeff Lynn

I was born a poor black child in Ochabee, Alabama in 1938, the seventh of 18 children. At age 18 I hopped a freight train to San Francisco to start Rolling Stone magazine.  I then dabbled in inventing,  creating margarine, the rotary engine, and  Pop Rocks.  Shortly after, I took dancing lessons from Sammy Davis Jr. I traveled with the rat pack overseas, eventually setting down in the Himalayas as guru to Buddha. My current goal is to become the “All Being,” master of time, space & reality. This morning I had Frosted Mini-Wheat’s & Green Tea.

--OR—

I first broke into radio in the early 80’s, a college classmate of Ted Minier & John Finn, two charming fellows I’m sure your familiar with! I’ve done just about every shift or format there is, including co-host of three different morning shows and music director at WZXR. I’ve been the unofficial “Designated Hitter” at Backyard Broadcasting since 2000, filling in wherever I’m needed. The key word here being “adaptability.”  The highlights of my "career" include:  interviewing Ace Frehley from a pay phone at the Avis Minitmart; winning the Governor's Highway Safety Award on 'Ted and Jeff's Big Morning Gig'; interviewing/milking a cow live on-air; hanging backstage with Aerosmith and Van Halen; interviewing Alice Cooper; starting the 1st Cookout of Spring, with my longtime friend and colleague, Ted Minier (thanks, pal); driving the company vehicle from Philadelphia (half deaf, I might add) after an Iron Maiden show; getting paid to play music and make people smile, and hundred's of other great experiences.  My hobbies include collecting CD's & DVD's, writing, drawing, watching football and movies, bitching about politicians and corporate america, practicing my various musical instruments, and hanging with the fam and friends.  Thanks for listening, and yes, I STILL think the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame is a big, fat joke!..........................................................................................!!!
