I was born in Kentucky (just outside of Cincy, OH), and split my time growing up between Lock Haven and Pittsburgh (hence my legal obligation to be a Steelers fan). Graduated from Lock Haven High School, which is now Central Mountain. Briefly attended Edinboro University, and eventually attended Penn College as a broadcast student. I started working part-time for WZXR in 1997, and eventually they tricked me into doing this full time. It's been a fun time getting to meet and interview some awesome people, and getting to be on the air with all of you everyday.
I'm also an encyclopedia of totally useless knowledge. I got my PHD from BSU, and use it quite frequently.I have a semi-photographic memory, but only if it's knowledge that doesn't help at all. Like knowing that Lou Gehrig hit 493 home runs, or that Jack Nicholson has been nominated for 12 Oscars (and won 3 of them for Cuckoo's Nest, Terms of Endearment, and As Good As It Gets). See what I mean? I'm like a cooler version of Cliff Claven.
I'm happily married to my wife Maria and we live in Loyalsock with our son Jossian, who recently turned 4. He's already a rocker!
I'm obviously a big music fan. Some of my favorite musicians are The Stones, Pink Floyd, The Black Crowes, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Pearl Jam, Wilco, Otis Redding, and tons of others. I'm also a big movie nut, and like all sorts of films. From Star Wars to The Big Lebowski, and everything in between. Some favorite TV shows include Seinfeld, Lost, and The Big Bang Theory, and I've always loved the classics...Andy Griffith, Hogan's Heroes, F Troop, and such.
Some hobbies....Concerts of course, camping, road trips, baseball, football, and I'm a huge autograph collector. Nearly 1,300 pieces in my growing collection. I know how to stalk and to flatter.
